Yes. The information submitted via our insurance quote forms is saved on our secure computer servers.

What will websites with links from InsureLane do with my information?
Sites with links from InsureLane.com site may be collecting information about you when you visit them. Clicking on one of these links transfers you to an outside website. We encourage you to read their privacy policies carefully, as their individual privacy policies may differ from ours. Links that appear on our website are not necessarily endorsed by InsureLane.

What about Third Party Advertisers?
InsureLane.com is currently a member of several third party ad networks. Third party ad networks collect non-personally identifiable information in order to serve online consumers with targeted online advertising. As a result of these partnerships, you may be served with ads for InsureLane.com while visiting a third party website. These ads and the manner in which they are served are not managed by InsureLane.com, but by the individual third party network or related third party ad server.

Advertising networks make information on their practices and privacy policies public on their individual websites. InsureLane.com is not responsible for the content or policies of any third party website in which our advertisements appear.

What about spam?
InsureLane.com abides by the anti-spam regulations set forth by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. To remain compliant and to protect visitors to InsureLane.com and those individuals who use any services provided on the InsureLane.com website, we adhere to the following statements:

InsureLane.com only sends email to those of our visitors who have “opted in” to receive these communications. Individuals “opt in” to our email communications by voluntarily providing us and our third-party affiliates with their email address and submitting a form that acknowledges their agreement with our terms of use and privacy policies.

Occasionally InsureLane.com will partner with a third party email server to provide relevant email advertisements to consumers we feel would like to receive these offers. We select all third party email servers based on their compliance with CAN-SPAM to ensure that our advertisements are not sent or received as spam

We only select third party email servers that have obtained the permission from all the individuals on their mailing list to receive periodic advertisements via email.

If we detect abuse of our anti-spam policies or those rules regulated by the Federal Government, InsureLane.com will immediately terminate the relationship with the offending third party email server.

To “opt-out” of (stop receiving) these advertisements sent via a third party email service, follow the “opt-out” or “unsubscribe” instructions that appear in the body of the email. These instructions typically appear as links. By successfully “opting out” you will no longer receive emails from this particular third party email service. Each individual third party email service requires you to opt out from their communications separately if you wish to stop receiving their emails and offers.

If you have successfully completed the “opt out” instructions but are still receiving unwanted emails from a third party service, please notify us immediately.

What does framing mean?
“Framing” describes a way web pages are presented. When InsureLane presents a "framed" page, you’ll be seeing InsureLane.com branding displays (scrolls, banners, etc.) alongside content from non-affiliated third parties InsureLane has partnered with. InsureLane uses framing in order to offer you additional products and services. You should read the privacy policy of any framed page carefully, as that site’s policy may differ from ours.

How will InsureLane protect my information while it’s passing over the Internet?
InsureLane protects your information with a process known as the Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL. This means that whenever you enter a quote request, your personal information will be encrypted as it’s traveling between your computer and our servers. To make use of this technology, you’ll need to use an SSL-capable browser (such as Netscape Navigator 4.06 or above, Internet Explorer 4.01, or Mozilla Firefox). You can tell you’re visiting a secure area on our site by checking for the lock or key symbol at the bottom corner of your browser screen.

Does InsureLane use “cookies”?
Yes. Cookies are simply small files that are saved on your computer while your browser is running. InsureLane uses cookies to make it easier for you to complete our quote forms. Our cookies are intended to make your experience on our site easier.

InsureLane’s cookies are not used to collect, store or track your personal information. If you’re uncomfortable accepting cookies of any kind, you can change your browser’s settings to keep them off your computer.

InsureLane may contract with partners who use what’s known as “ad-serving” technology. Ad-serving gauges the effectiveness of an advertisement by placing a cookie on your computer when you view it. These third-party cookies allow ad-serve users to recognize certain types of non-personal information, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, Internet provider, and time zone.

Collecting this information allows our partners to improve the value and effectiveness of their advertisements on InsureLane.com by delivering the kinds of ads that will be of the most interest to you.

The information collected by InsureLane’s cookies can not identify you personally. However, the third parties who use them may be able to associate your personal information with a cookie if you register for products or services on their website. We recommend that you read the privacy statements on outside sites carefully as their privacy policy may be different from ours.

Does InsureLane use “web beacons”?
Certain pages on InsureLane.com, third-party pages where InsureLane banner ads appear, and the emails we distribute may contain electronic images known as “web beacons.” Web beacons are single-pixel image files that are used to collect non-personal information.

InsureLane’s partners sometimes use web beacons as a way to compile statistics so they can improve the overall effectiveness of their advertising. The non-personal info that web beacons collect cannot be used to identify you individually on InsureLane.com.

Does InsureLane log my movements?
InsureLane keeps a log of both your movements through our website and your search requests. This data will be used to gather demographic info, help administer our site more effectively and analyze trends. InsureLane does not use logging technology to share or capture your email address or any other personally identifiable information.

Does InsureLane collect personal information from children/minors under 13 years of age?
InsureLane neither knowingly solicits data from minor children nor knowingly markets its services to minor children.

Policy Changes and Updates: We reserve the right to change this policy at any time. Our privacy policy will be kept up-to-date and clearly posted on our Web site at all times.
